About Open Web Lab

Practical web infrastructure, explained through work that people can inspect and adapt.

The interesting work is usually below the homepage.

A website may look finished while its content cannot move, its form goes nowhere or its release procedure points at the wrong environment. Those are the kinds of problems Open Web Lab examines.

The purpose is to make the system understandable enough that an owner can ask better questions, a builder can make a smaller change and a successor can continue the work.

An EKG Marketing resource.

Open Web Lab grows out of EKG Marketing’s website and infrastructure work. Our own theme structure, deployment records and documentation mistakes give us material we can examine directly.

The Lab carries the same preference for diagnosis before prescription. A useful page helps you decide what to do, including when the right move is to keep the system you already have.

Why the examples often begin with B2B.

Technical products, applications, materials, support resources and long buying journeys expose relationships a demonstration site can hide. A visitor may know a job well while knowing none of the product names.

Those constraints are useful teaching material. Schools, nonprofits, retailers and personal projects face related questions about structure, evidence and handoff. Each major Lab includes an adaptation.

How to read the evidence.

“Used by us” identifies documented EKG experience. “Researched” means we examined primary documentation without claiming an installation test. A source inspection can establish what a file contains; it cannot prove the running system’s behavior.

We keep those boundaries visible. We also keep mistakes when they teach something useful. The aim is work a reader can evaluate, not an immaculate origin story.

Choose your first question.

Start with the three entry paths, inspect the Labs or take the ownership check. If a page gets something wrong, send the specific correction.
